This privacy policy sets out how The 8th Day Coop uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website. The 8th Day Coop is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

The 8th Day Coop may change this policy from time to time and will indicate these changes on this page, however please be assured any changes will not compromise your privacy or personal data held by us. What we collect

Aside from any uses and data collection outlined below by third parties and for the purposes of job applications we only collect personal information you may include in any email you send to us via the website, which naturally would also include your email address. We will only keep that information for as long as we require it in order to respond to you or for the purposes of internal record keeping.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We will never share this information with any third party unless you have expressly given us permission.

How we use cookies

We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of our website and to identify which pages are being used. This information is gathered by means of cookies. A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. Email newsletter

If you choose to subscribe to our mailing list, the name and email address you submit to us will be sent to MailChimp who provide us with email marketing services. MailChimp are a third party data processor so your name and email address you submit with regard to the newsletter will not be stored within The 8th Day’s website database or in any of our internal computer systems.

Your email address will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters that we send you or by requesting removal by emailing us at mail@eighth-day.co.uk. When requesting removal via email, please send your name and email address to us using the email account that has been used to subscribe to the mailing list.

Whilst your email address remains within the MailChimp database, you will receive periodic emailed newsletters from us.
