Fairtrade Fortnight BANANA DAY!

Bananas and BEYOND!

Entering this year celebrations for Fairtrade Fortnight (24th feb – 8th March), we’re going bananas at Eighth Day vegan & veggie co-operative, literally!

As well as free samples & tasters nearly everyday, we’ll be adopting a yellow uniform for the day on Thursday 5th March, we’re drawing attention to all the ways to choose fair trade, from our eco cotton buds to vegan wine and speciality coffee from our local friends.

We’re promising a Fairtrade banana to anyone who can correctly identify our Fairtrade products, as well as serving up recipes straight from our kitchen, with tasters of course, that use a multitude of our Fairtrade products, and everyone is welcome to join the fun – extra points for your brightest yellow t-shirts!

Our History

Did you know Eighth Day has been around since 1970? We’ve been through lots of changes, hundreds of staff and several buildings since those early days. You can find out more about the history of our co-op.
